The Health Benefits Of Dulse And Kelp

Kelp and Dulse are two seaweed vegetables that come from the ocean which are very beneficial for so many reasons. They are mineral and trace mineral rich, as well as being very bioavailable to the body because some of the minerals in these plants are already chelated which means the body can utilize and benefit from them easily within the digestive system. They are both rich in Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium and Iodine. I got them for the reason of being Iodine rich alone because I had a Hypothyroidism (an underactive thyroid) along with an iodine deficiency. So taking these has helped heal my Thyroid and regulate the hormonal balance within my body. If you have hyperthyroidism (an overactive thyroid) iodine is actually not recommended, so you may want to avoid these sea vegetables until your Thyroid is balanced again.
