Carbohydrates And Acne

Carbohydrates and acne are directly related. Simple carbohydrates are found in white flour bread, white sugar and corn syrup. These carbohydates raise your blood sugar and insulin very quickly and give you a quick boost of energy but the boost and insulin spike causes a hormonal imbalance and can and will cause problems in the body which will effect your acne and skin in a bad way. On the other hand complex carbohydrates are found in vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds and take longer for the glucose to break down in the blood which doesn’t cause a blood sugar or insulin spike. This gives your body the energy it needs without causing a hormonal imbalance which is better for your skin overall not to mention the nutritious benefit of the foods you eat when getting complex carbohydrates.
